Q: Why?
A: There is no single unique reason, but conditions are not favorable. Organizing a completely self-managed event is extremely challenging. Currently, the Dragon Burn community is not strong enough to overcome these challenges.
Q: Will Dragon Burn return in the future?
A: Concrete action, inspired by the principles of participation, communal effort, and civic responsibility, builds the culture all year around. Dragon Burn 2027 and beyond is possible, but rebuilding a strong culture of action and participation is up to all of us.
Q: What can I do to make Dragon Burn possible?
A: Keep building our community. Support and work with the people around you. whether it’s organizing events, making art, or building supportive and creative environments. Bring the ten principles into your daily life.
Q: Can I still go camping, make art and music, and participate in activities that make my heart sing?
A: You can and you should! Many people will do all of these things from May 1-5. Talk to the people around you. And don’t stop on May 5th; burning is a year-round activity.
Dragon Burn needs energy and hands to be present and inspiring all year round. Have concrete ideas? Want to support more? Willing to organise a burner-friendly event? Want to connect with others to make art? We would love to be in touch, so write us at
